Soopl suitcase
The Soopl suitcase challenges convention by rethinking how it interacts with the ground. Instead of relying on four small wheels, it uses two large, soft wheels that roll smoothly across a much wider range of surfaces, from curbs to cobblestones and almost anywhere else.
Every detail of the suitcase was considered with the aim of instilling a sense of trust in the product. The resilience of the German polycarbonate shell, the form factor after opening and the precision of the stepless handle were all carefully developed. Throughout the process, the user experience remained at the centre, from packing and accessing belongings to navigating the demands of everyday travel.
The result is a premium suitcase with a considered, understated character. Robust functionality meets a refined and timeless aesthetic, creating a product that feels reassuring in use and distinctive without demanding attention.

From vision
to form
While being employed by Soopl, Justin worked closely with the founder, translating the concept into a refined and functional product. His work focused on developing the form, proportions, details and overall design language, balancing performance and production requirements with a distinctive visual identity.
The design evolved through a continuous cycle of sketching, making, testing and refining. Renderings became samples, samples became prototypes, and each iteration revealed something new. Justin was involved at every stage, translating what was learned into the next decision and gradually shaping the suitcase into its final form.
